Part-Time Summer Camp Staff (Temporary)
Location: Bentonville, Arkansas
Position Type: Part-Time, Temporary (Summer Only)
Little Neighbors Preschool is looking for passionate and responsible individuals to join our team as part-time, temporary Summer Camp Staff. Our camp provides a creative and supportive environment where children aged 6 to 9 years old can grow, learn, and have fun. If you’re excited about fostering connections, encouraging play-based learning, and helping children explore their creativity, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
About the Role
As a Summer Camp Staff member, you will lead and assist in engaging, age-appropriate activities for children in a safe, nurturing environment. Your role will involve providing creative experiences through arts and crafts, group projects, and themed activities designed to inspire learning and fun. You’ll help create a joyful, positive experience for children throughout the summer while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Camp Activities & Engagement
- Lead hands-on arts and crafts, group activities, and weekly themed projects
- Encourage children’s creativity and self-expression in a fun, supportive environment
- Foster teamwork, communication, and social growth through collaborative play
- Provide a positive, engaging atmosphere that keeps children excited about learning and play
Safety & Supervision
- Supervise children throughout the camp day, ensuring their safety during indoor and outdoor activities
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a secure and welcoming environment
- Help with daily routines, transitions, and activities to provide structure and comfort for the children
Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with other camp staff to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp space
- Support camp leadership in managing schedules and supplies
Family & Communication
- Build positive relationships with children and staff
- Maintain open communication with families about camp activities and experiences
Qualifications
Required
- Experience working with children, especially ages 6-9
- A positive, flexible attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Strong communication abilities and a passion for child-centered learning
Preferred
- Previous experience in summer camps, childcare, or education
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
